breakfast on Labor Day!?

OOPS! Not sure where folks ended up having breakfsst.. went by Weeneez around noon to find this:
Weeneez is closed!
Guess that daily breakfast starts tomorrow perhaps!?

Say, you're wanting breakfast on Labor Day?
Early Bird Special
I hope you didn't forget that Weeneez has breakfast? Yes Weeneez has breakfast *now* every day of the week starting Labor Day, that's tomorrow, the 1st of September! Breakfast is served from 10am-2pm & the 2.99 breakfast special (which I hear is pretty popular) is from 10-11am, just like the big sign in the window says.. ;P

Weeneez is at 5th & Spring of course!

It's more of a mid-morning special, right? Great price! We'll be checking it out tomorrow.

yes I guess it's just 'early' in that it's the first hour of their opening. ;)

Wow- I wish I had known earlier that Weeneez would be open, and with a breakfast menu, non-the-less. I wish they'd keep their web site somewhat updated... it's hard to guess if they'll be open on a holiday or not...

actually they were closed today when we went to go eat brunch there around noon.. The sign they had posted on Saturday was down and a little note was posted saying 'sorry for the inconvenience" I'm thinking they must have just forgot that today was Labor Day!

I ended up getting lunch at Rocket Pizza instead. Not the same at all, but was alright. The italian sausage sandwich is good as is the Italian Penne. It wasn't breakfast though!

Yeah, Rocket is no substitute for Weeneez- I don't feel so bad that I didn't go by Weeneez, but I did spend $20 (plus tip) on brunch at Grand Kyoto Hotel- best place I could think of close-by w/ breakfast (of course I would try Nickel if it was open).

I hope Julie can settle on some "regular" hours...

That handwritten sign gives this old English teacher the shudders! I'm glad the food is bitter.....er, better.

LOL yeah I was thinking about you when I was editing the photo. It's too bad you never got around to doing that "Prof. Cornish & the signs of LA" or whatever you were going to do with Ed. ;) That would have been fun.

I don't expect there is much spelled wrong up in Eureka.. is there?

I'm not sure yet, but don't worry---if there's a misspelled word, I'll find it.
