OZMO

OZMO at Polk & Olive St.
mural on Olive and Polk Streets

Seen on my walk Saturday.. headed into the city to return my library books and get a new stack. I have about 3 weeks to read before the Fall Semester starts back up.. But I took a long walk including a side trip to Polk & Pine looking for an old friend.. my first friend I made in San Francisco back in 1997 when I failed to make the move out here.

I don't know what happened to them, but suffice to say wherever they are, I have never forgotten them.. Their kindness has always stayed with me.

"Live Outside"

Wednesday the 23rd, a few hours were spent in the city.. including some time at the library to pick up some books.

After the library I was about to head back to the Eastbay and spotted this mural on the side of the Holiday Inn just off Market and 8th..

The light wasn't ideal on one end so it's a bit over-filtered.. (which is my fault)

with very little research (and making sure to photograph the artist tag at the bottom of the piece) I found out the name of the mural is "Live Outside" and the artist is AmandaLynn..

Ain't I a Woman

Tuesday I needed to be in Downtown Berkeley before dinner time. I thought to go hiking in another city park (I still want to do Mortar Rock Park!), but had a late start (yet again) getting out for my walk. So, after I treated myself to lunch, I headed over to Live Oak Park to read. Despite it being closer to a residential area and playground, it's actually a rather quiet place to just sit on a bench, read, had a snack or watch some fat squirrels acting like cats in the trees... I meandered about and found this really cool mural under a bridge there on the far side of the park..
