Berkeley Station No. 5

On our way home from running some errands yesterday we came upon this ladder truck returning to the station.. We were stopped anyway, so of course I must take photos!





Back home in Station 5, which is located on Shattuck Avenue.


The Berkeley Fire Department was established in 1904. There are a total of seven stations in Berkeley, servicing 11sq miles. It's noted on the City of Berkeley Fire Department FAQ Page that the fire department also runs the ambulance service.
